When SELLING your home:

As soon as you have an official closing date and close of escrow is in motion, contact your local utility and service companies to schedule a termination of service date. In some cases, these companies may request the name of the new owner to add to their file. This way they are prepared when the new owner calls and can re-start service.

When BUYING your home:

As soon as you have an official closing date and close of escrow is in motion, schedule your move-in date if possible so you can avoid moving in without electricity, hot water or TV! Schedule activation of utilities and services so they’re up and running prior to your move-in date.

TIP: Glenbrook & Uppaway do not have natural gas, only Propane or Oil. Each house has one or the other. Check with me if you don’t know which you have.

NEVADA POST OFFICES

TIP: Much of Tahoe’s surrounding residential areas do not have mail boxes. Instead, US Mail is received at P.O. Boxes. However, with proof of residency (your closing documents), the below Post Offices will provide you with a FREE Post Office Box:
